Question Girard’s GSWH-2 On-Demand Water Heater

Has anyone bought and installed one of these? I am thinking about buying one for my 3124KS. The allure of endless hot water intrigues me especially since we don't do any boondocking. So I started reading about the Truma water heater that funpilot had installed and looked into those. But at $1033 for just the basic model I tended to shy away from this thought....that is until I found the Girard GSWH-2 for less than $600! That's $400 buck less, and it's not just the basic model either!!! It's the top of the line newest model and fully automated. An endless hot water heater that is designed to fit into the space where my Suburban sits and weighs 30 lbs. less. So....I was wondering ... does anyone out there know about these or am I blazing new trails here again?

Cool leap of faith

OK...I did it...I purchased the Girard GSWH-2 tank-less hot water heater. Got a great deal from Campers Paradise out of Charlotte NC (704 395 6015)...complete with everything for $613.00... (with the door included in the sale...they are sold separately)... no tax...free shipping. They said it will be on my door step in two days! WOW! Just think...endless hot water for those REAL showers just like mom use to take. Once I get it installed, I'll be documenting it on my website for all to read about. It should be easy as it is designed to fit in the same space that the Suburban 6 gallon is in. My Suburban 6 gallon is less than 2 years old, and it will be up for sale if anyone is interested. I have seen these for $240 on the net so I'll take $120 for mine if you pay the shipping and I'll throw in another anode rod to boot!

Thumbs up Installed!

Finally got it in and it was (after I got all my parts together) fairly easy to do. I only had to make a few minor modifications and was able to simplify it quite a bit too. So I will be posting all the details on my website as soon as I can write it all up. So don't touch that dial ladies and germs!
It works pretty darn good and is probably a good match for the TM. The price certainly was right! I think I'll go take a shower right now....lord knows I could use one!
