New Upper/Lower Door latch?

While getting my AC repaired I looked at a few of the newer TMs the dealer had in stock.

I looked at a new 2720sl and instead of the white plastic tab that connects the upper/lower door ,it had a postive latch assembly clamping the two doors together. Wish I had a camera at the time. This is exactly what I am looking for as my upper door rides up when the entire door is closed.

I plan on calling the dealer Monday to see if I can purchase a kit to replace the plastic in my 3124ks.

I looked at the other models and did not see the same latch assembly. Something new maybe??

Sorry, just saw the pics for the 2007 changes. I still want the latch though

You can get that kind of latch at Home Depot - look for sash locks.

I'd like to see a picture when you get it installed on your TM.

I am not going to get to that right away. We won't be in town for a while because we will be going back east for six or seven weeks - or longer.
