Default Cracked Tub

When cleaning the bathroom for our return trip home yesterday I noticed what I thought was a hair in the Tub. When it wouldn't wipe up I looked and it was about a 3 inch crack in the tub. The dealer says he will replace it but I will be leaving again in 2 wks for another trip. He said to take a pic. and put epoxy on for a temp. repair. Any suggestions on what type of patch to use?
Thanks ED

Default Re:Cracked Tub

Since your dealer has already agreed to replace the tub, you can put on any kind of patch, ugly or not. You want it to keep water from leaking, and you want it to be slightly flexible so it doesn't crack as the tub flexes when you stand in it.

A smear of epoxy, a piece of duct tape - almost anything would do the job. However, be sure to clean the area really well - a thin layer of soap will keep almost anything from sticking.
