Water heater temp?
Does anyone know what the water heater temp is supposed to be? Is it adjustable? I could not find this on a search.
Thanks,
Jim

I remember it stating the temp as 130° and it is non-adjustable!

It is not adjustable. It is very hot, and for a reason. At any given moment, you have only 6 gallons of heated water available in the tank. If it is really really hot, you might mix it 25/75 with cold water, which gives you 24 gallons of warm water to shower with. If the water in the tank were less hot, then you might have to mix it 50/50 with cold water, giving you only 12 gallons of water to shower with. And if the water in the tank were only warm, but not hot, then you would get only 6 gallons.

Bill that does make alot of sense. The trouble I'm having I get only a little warm water when first turning it on and the goes cold.

You seem to have a problem. The water is way hot, and stays they way until all 6 gallons are used up, and it rewarms very quickly. Personally, I would prefer it be temp adjustable...it is easy to scald yourself if you are not careful.

In our 1997 TM, we have a 3 gallon Suburban water heater that is adjustable. It gets really, really hot when you turn it all the way up!
