Default Exterior molding

On our 2001 2720SL there is a vinyl molding strip that runs along the upper shells edges. It has large cracks in it and needs to be replaced. Will it slide out if I pull it from one end or is there some special way to remove it? And then how do I install the new vinyl insert?

Yep, it'll pull right out, the ends are sealed. I bought a roll of the stripping from my dealer, so I can replace other pieces.

did you put anything on the new insert so it would slide in easier, such as liquid soap or ???

Default cost of strips ?

Wondering how much the roll of strip costs? I need to do the same on my 2002 2619 and also was wondering how difficult it would be to do it myself.
