Default Stabalizers

Does anyone use stabalizers (other than the jacks) to take some of the movement out of the Trailmanor?  I saw some at Campingworld this weekend that looked like they may help.

Do you have any idea where they would be placed or would you use them in place of the original jacks?

My understanding was that jacks on the four corners were all that you need to take the bounce out of the trailer.  At least this seemed to work on my other trailer.

I agree with Oilspot.  While the stabilizer jacks are not designed to level the unit (as we used to do back in the 1970s), with all four of them making firm contact, you shouldn't get any significant motion. On the other hand, when a 200 lb person gets on the step to go into a trailer that weighs less than 3500 loaded, you're going to feel something.  I tend to feel a little bit of shaking when our kids are bouncing on the beds, though I just think with something as light as our units, you're going to feel some movement....

The jacks were down and it was level.  Maybe I was expecting too much.  This hardly detracts from our overall satisfaction so far.  We love our Trailmanor.  I have never slept as well while camping as I did this past weekend.  With our two boys (6 and 4) and parents who are a possibly a little too overprotective, it was much more sucure than the popup it replaced.

The security is important.  I happened to turn on the Animal Planet channel yesterday (I was unwinding after a long drive from an appointment -- otherwise I never really watch that channel) and they were showing attacks by animals on people in national parks.  During the show, I noticed a number of tent campers in parks where bears were walking around and looking hungry.  There's no way I would go out there without the hard sides of this trailer!

As you might imagine, with the makeup of our family, the Amimal Planet is a frequently watched channel.  We are in the early stages of planning a trip to Yellowstone next summer.  From what I have read and seen, there is no way I would go without a hard-sided camper.
