Default Winterizing Re-cirulating toilet???

Is there anything you need to do to winterize the re-circulating toilet. Right now i'm think it just needs to be empty?

Is there any special cleaning preparation for storage???

No real winterization needed other than emptying it. I usually add about 3 gals of water with some Odoban, flush for a minute or so, let sit a while and drain. This deodorizes and kills most bacteria. Some people, add a little RV antifreeze, but I am not a fan of that as some of the products attack the slide seal. One caution. If the TM is not level when you drain it and you close the dump valve and then move the TM with the toilet valve open, some liquid can drain into the dump valve plumbing. If not drained again, it can crack the PVC leading to the dump valve.

Thanks

Do you use the Odoban each time you close up the camper or only for the winter?

I'm not a fan of rv antifreeze except I pump about 16 oz through the water pump.

Just a regular emptying procedure and then a good rinse and drain, then your good to go...for next season.

Odoban can be found at big box hardware stores about $10/gal. I also use it the same way after each trip. It if very difficult to totally drain/clean through normal drain procedure, so the Odoban keeps it fresh for the next trip.
