I hope this is a typo, and you meant "I instructed him NOT to use it on the axle". Both the TM Owners Manual and the Dexter Axle web site are explicit - do not place the jack under the axle. Place the jack on the frame just in front of the axle. If you bend the axle, Dexter will not replace it.
