You would need to raise or lower the hitch ball, which is on the part of the hitch that is on the tow vehicle. You will find that the top of the hitch ball needs to be about 19 inches above the pavement. If you are off by an inch or so, that's not a big deal for the initial haul. You can fine tune it when you get home and have time.

As for an electric jack, they are a great addition but I wouldn't try to do it right away, especially if you are far from home.
