Might have to do some creative abs surgery. Maybe buy a replacement and “transplant” the distal end of this onto the new one.

Fortunately, our local bargain shop has something that looks perfect, except for the 1 1/2” back end. So I will take the whole thing over there tomorrow morning, make sure the front end fits everything properly, and “scrub in” for some surgery. More to come.
Could you use a clamp on rubber reducer?
