I remember the first time I bought a car after 1985, when California required the catalytic converters.
A friend of mine told me to NOT put a temperature gauge on it because it would scare me.
Apparently engines with a cat converter versus the previous years model without the cat converter have different operating temperatures.
These days, nearly everything has a cat converter, including my motorcycle.
