We run our AC all the time on a 20 AMP circuit at home. Now it close to the limit. If my air compressor in the garage kicks on the breaker trips, but the freezer in the garage is on the same circuit and always running. I think the AC pulls around 16 amps.

So you might want to turn the 120V to the fridge off before starting the AC
