Ah man! I'd feel like I was back on the ship if I had that red light anywhere in my TM.... berthing areas are only lit with red lights - doesn't require any vision adjustment going from red light to outside of berthing where there are bright white lights, so very easy on the eyes, yet you can see everything quite clearly. You learn to sleep with banging, clanging, rocking, rolling, etc. so the red lights are the least of the adjustments when trying to sleep on a ship.
