we use a 600 lb wdh on our 2012 highlander with the OEM hitch Toyota does not give you any extra tow capacity like they did in the earlier highlander and Sienna models before the new towing standards kicked in. I figured a WDH does not help tow more weight up the DAM HILL test, which is one of the harder test in the standard is the reason for no additional weight.

But the WDH does a nice job leveling off the Highlander and give a nicer towing e.xperience.
