About 4 years ago I disconnected my TM heater. I wanted to camp without hook up and the heater soaks up electric from the battery. I use a WAVE 8 heater. I choose the WAVE 8 because I go out West a lot and camp above 5,000 feet in places without electric. Not as much as I thought I would. However, Gas Buddy does not operate above a certain altitude, I think around 3,000 feet. I have camped at 7,000 feet at around 32 degrees and have had excellent results. I have not winterized for colder temps.
