When talking to Ed at Trailmanor about our Elkmont's leaks, he said the factory had switched from silicone sealant to one of the 3M Hybrid Polyurethane Sealants, 3M 760 I think.
But that's for industrial use. For RV/marine use 3M 4200 is available and is probably the best choice. Or 3M 5200 if you never want to remove it (more bonding power).
After the factory repairs and resealing with the new stuff, we have never had a roof leak. But I keep a small tube of 3M 4200 around just in case.
