I may be wrong but I think that it was 2001. I know that the 2003 has aluminum shell frames.
BTW, there have been very few reports of issues with the wood frames. They did a very good job of soaking the frames with some sort of sealer (it may have even been epoxy) before assembly. I have a '98, it has wood frames and no issues with wood rot or structural issues.
