You would need a longer slide i think but it should work.

Thank you for posting... for some reason the site wont let me zoom inti your picture. Looks as though you used rivots to connect a piano hinge for tilt into the glide. Am I reading that correctly? If so any particular pianno hinge work here or did you reuse the factory piano hinge as that part is metal
I am thinking that I may just need to remove the original plastic slide to measure its closed and open positions. Thanks for any additional info you might have on this.
