The Expedition max trailer weight with the heavy duty tow package (which includes 7-wire harness, aux auto trans oil cooler, larger radiator, electric brake wiring kit, trailer brake controller, trailer sway control, hitch receiver) is 9,200lbs, without is 6,600lbs - at least that's what the specs are for a 2016. It's also important to know the rear axle ratio. There is a two digit code, labeled AXLE, on the Safety Compliance Certification Label (located on the driver's door facing or latch post pillar), which will give you the rear axle ratio.
