So, I untangled it and now it works ok. I have recaulked and it should work ok now, but I would like to change the hose_what kind do you recommend?
Also, I am considering widening the hole that The hose comes thru-Could that cause any problems?

Thanks for all your help

Use one of the hoses with the flexible "slinky" type of metal outer shell. They are almost as flexible as a piece of rope. Get it routed to the connection so that you can drop it in an out of the hole easily. Widen the hole if needed, but you probably won't have to, if you get it routed clear of the obstructions.
