I went a bit further as I have tried the tennis balls but depending on how much is loaded in the TV the ball are not visable. Also, my wife does not have a great concept of how and when to direct me left or right. So, I mounted one of those Costco wireless backup camera's directly into the bumper just above the hitch. I can now wacth from the monitor my alignment and distance an am right on 98% of the time the first time with out
any help. Life is much simpler. I tow another trailer so this has come in extremely handy and of course-- no embarassing getting out to check 2 or 3 time and I look like an expert. The camera is hardly noticable in the bumper and most don't know how I can hitch my trailer so quickly and easily the first time with no help.
