I guess I'm in the minority but the rules are the rules. I would be irritated too but I wouldn't stop going to the CG (assuming I like it in the first place). It would have been nice had they done something for you out of goodwill but they certainly don't have to (just like you, or anyone else, don't have to patronize their business).
