TM made very few of the Elkmonts, and only for a year or two. I think it was an experimental design, done with the thought of opening up a new business area for them. It didn't take off as fast as they had hoped, and around that time, TM's inventor and owner became very ill. Between the two issues, they decided to discontinue production. It's too bad - the few that were sold seemed to be well-received, and they were built with a lot of the same parts, materials, and processes that were used in traditional TMs, so maintenance wasn't as much of a big deal as you might think.

I say this not to discourage you, but only to let you know that you won't find a lot of them out there, or many owner reports. "Fair market value" is also hard to determine, since there was so little market.
