Ok, on the door lock thingy. I've got an OLD 1986 Trailmanor. I guess some of the things they are doing these days aren't as good as they used to be, either that, or a previous owner made a VERY good modification to the door as NOONE seems to have one like mine. On mine, there is a small METAL piece that slides over the bottom section of the door from the top section, this keeps it SECURELY in place, the two NEVER come apart, and there is nothing at all plastic that holds the two together. This metal tab is around 1-1.5" long pointing down the door. Heck, my TM's WAY out of alignment right now as I'm getting ready to replace all the wood in the bottom of the front shell with aluminum, and that door is *still* secure as a rock! If anyone's interested, I'll be happy to take a picture of it and post it here.
