I hesitate to post this because it may be uninformed...but you are all so nice and tolerant of anyone trying to sound out an issue. So, here is what I think as an owner of a 3124KS. When you make up the couch into a bed, doesn't the bed actually slide forward as the back of the sofa goes down into position. THat would create quite an overhang of sofa -- perhaps past the heater face plate. Our TM is backed up against the garage and under cover for winter so I cannot go look. Maybe someone else will. If the bed does not actually slide forward, would a kids' half rail (like the transition period into a single bed) keep the covers on the bed? It slides in under the matress on a regular bed.
