Mike -

Removing the carpet and installing a wood floor has been done, quite successfully, by several of our members. Use the search tool on terms like "floor" or "wood" to pull them up. As I recall, it does not involve removing anything like appliances, cabinets, etc., and the results are really nice.

Changing the countertops has not been done, to my knowledge. However, countertops are not hard to do. You could call in a kitchen counter specialist, who would make a million measurements and then deliver and install the new countertops. Or if you are handy, you could make the measurements yourself and go to someplace like Home Depot or Lowes, and they will make them up for you. I haven't done it in my TM, but I have done it in a cabin I built in the woods of Maine, and it was pretty straightforward.
