With the 3500 lb axle you can order either a 5 or 6 lug brake drum from dexter. Even when you replace your drums you can change the number of lugs. But you need different wheels. If I was doing a brake job at the same time I was changing from 14" to 15", I would go to 6 lug drums. The 6 lug is nice because you can get stronger wheels and a larger selection of wheels.
