When I bought my TM in 2007, 6-8 year old TM's in good shape with all working appliances (but old tires) were going for $8k-$10k. As Bill mentioned, prices in the west, and especially in California, were significantly higher. I don't know how prices are now, but they can't have deviated that much from such a wide range.
