I have owned both old and new and there are some things I like about both and some I don't. As mentioned the newer models are constructed differently (for the better), but lost a little style too. My older model had a nice glass front cupboard doors, lighter counter tops, cutting board over the sink, etc. The new model has the air conditioner in the middle (not over the bed), nicer lighting, larger wheels, etc. It all comes down to your likes and dislikes. We upgraded to a 2010 - tighter, better construction, has solar, and years of use ahead of it...we stayed with the same model.
