Default Couch arm

The first step is to remove the arm from the trailer.
Remove the material from the old arm
Make a new bottom arm the height of the bottom of the couch. Cover both sides with plywood.
make the top piece the height of the old arm when assembled together. Cover both sides with plywood
put a piano hinge on the two sections to hold them together.
cover the new arm assembly with the foam from the old arm
I used the material from the old arm to cover the top section and had to order extra to cover the bottom section.
Install a latch to hold the arm in the up position, I used a piece of stainless steel angle with a pin that locks in the hole. The plate also keeps the cushion from falling off in the down position. I made the lock pin from a aluminum block and a 3/8" rod. I drilled a hole into the side of the 3/8" rod and installed a knob. The knob slides the pin back and forth.
I made a cushion from the same material to fill the area between the other cushion and the metal angle.

I will look for the pictures that I have.
