Adhesive removal
Have you tried "Goo Gone"? It is an adhesive remover available at most hardware stores and has the advantage of not damaging any surface I've used it on. On my sailboat I've had success using the cheapest aerosol hairspray you can buy but it is deadly to some plastics such as styrene. Good luck. - David
