Sara,
A few thoughts occur to me:
1: Be sure you have a big enough receiver for the task at hand. 2" x 2" at least.
2: If the Traverse is front wheel drive, you probably will want a WDH, but it might be smart to drive the unit for a while to see if you really need it. I didn't think I would, turns out I do. Many forum members report no sway at all.
3. Reese is the most common brand, E-quil-izer 4 point is also popular and used a lot. I went with the Andersen No Sway, but had to order and will install myself (this weekend I hope). From my internet research, I would probably go with the E-quil-izer if I had not chosen Andersen.
