The times I shredded tires, the only way I knew the tire was flat was looking in the mirror and seeing some trash, things just did not look right or another driver let me know I had an issue.

So I wonder, when I shred a tire, if it fist did not go flat and then progressed to being shredded or was it a defect with the tire?? Now I have had the case where I lost the thread and it was still holding the pressure that I started with or I have had the big pop which you hear it when it go's.

Once you are on the side of the road with a shredded tire there is almost no way to tell what was cause. Just food for thought.
I just chock it up to crap happens. Could have been any number of things.
