You have more capacity than I do with my 2000 Honda Odyssey and it tows my 2720 just fine-granted I go slow up the mountains. I did add a trany cooler.
And all in all I'd say your mileage -while not good- is not that bad.
Take it easy and keep your fluids maintained and I think you'll be fine.
