When I did mine, I put crush sleeves inside spacers. The bolts go through the crush sleeves and I tightened them to 150#. I think that if you did that to the factory lift kit spacers, with no crush sleeves, you might crush them slightly.

Without the crush sleeves, you may want to put red Loctite on the bolt threads and tighten the nuts to about 90#. If you do happen to crush the spacer slightly, you don't risk the nuts backing off.

If you have access to a welder, putting about a 1" tack weld on both ends of each spacer would be a good idea.
