If the pads need to be replaced, I would skip buying new pads and simply buy new brake assemblies. Easier to install, you get a magnet as well (which probably also needs replacing anyway), and literally only a few dollars more than pads. The assemblies listed below are $27/side at easternmarine.com, which is usually where I get them (but will likely be not fast enough for you).

Dexter part numbers:
10" x 2-1/4" Electric Brake Assy. - Right Hand / 3.5k #K23-027-00
10" x 2-1/4" Electric Brake Assy. - Left Hand / 3.5k #K23-026-00

I would also get new tang washers in case yours break off when you pull the wheel....they are cheap, maybe $1/each. You need 1" ID.

According to Dexter's website, the closest Dexter distributor to you that also sells retail is about 80 miles. List is below. The first place is only wholesale, but if you beg/plead with them, they might sell to you, especially if you perhaps buy from one of the other places and then just pick it up at Stag, since Stag has drop-shipped to me before under those circumstances. Stag is a huge place. I have bought from Arrow Trailer Supply several times before (with Stag fulfilling the order), and have had good luck dealing with a guy named Mike.

While you're at it, you might want to replace the drums too if the pads are shot. You can certainly get the part of the drum that contacts the pad resurfaced, but you will not find anywhere in Southern California that will resurface the face that contacts the magnet. I know because I looked. I figure replacing the drums once every 10 years isn't bad......these same places will have the drums....they are maybe $50/each IIRC.
