John,

There are two hot water heater reset buttons located just above the gas control valve - see attached thumbnail. Press in firmly on each button and listen for or feel a click indicating a reset.

Another item to check is the gas switch inside, located on the front of the sink cabinet. It may need to be turned off and back on in order to reset the ignition sequence.
