OPEN LENGTH & TRAVEL TRAILER
This will give you the room you are required to have when fully set up, and to get your vehicle in the site with you. Most campgrounds are now set-up to use electronic reservations (e.g. www.rec.gov), and these site lengths are actually figured from the parking block to 4-5 ft. from the loop road. So if you want a site with more room, simply add about 5 ft, and you'll be able to see which sites are longer. Also, some campgrounds don't allow any tent material on campers (due to bear issues), and to say pop-up sometimes only confuses this issue.

I've always said 27 (as I have a 2720), and travel trailer, and I've never heard any complaints. Above all, remember we are camping, and to not sweat the little things.
