I have to disagree with this. Campgrounds need to know the overall length of any trailer, and whether or not the unit has slides on any side. Overall length is a factor when campsites are adjacent to others behind them. Trees and other obstructions may also limit the trailer length in a given site.
It also tells the campground the length needed to park your vehicle on the site, since rarely do they want vehicles parked on the road.
