Your 2008 is probably already lifted. This can be accomplished two ways. Older TM's were lifted by adding a lift kit which is essentially a spacer ( box steel tube) between the axle and the frame. The newer models just use an axle with a different torsion bar angle. You can check this easily. Looks at the arm that the wheel is mounted on. The older ones were at zero degrees or basically parallel to the frame rails. The newer ones, that arm angles down at 22.5 degrees from the frame rails. No need to measure, it is one or the other you should be able to see it. The axle may even still have a readable tag that will show the model number as well and you can determine the angle from that.
