Rather than a topper, we replaced the mattress in our 2720 with one from Amazon after lots of research. It’s advertised as 6” thick, but its closer to 4 1/2” and it’s a short queen, so it fits the deck well.
We have had zero problems closing the TM as long as we remove all covers except for the bottom sheet. It’s a better mattress than my box spring....
