Default Colorado State Parks Campgrounds Closing

Just an FYI for those planning to come to Colorado for camping soon. This has been posted on the Colorado Parks & Wildlife website:

"Effective March 26, 2020: Colorado State Parks remain open, but Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) will close all playgrounds, campgrounds, dispersed camping and camping facilities (including yurts and cabins) at Colorado’s state parks as well as camping at State Wildlife Areas effective Thursday, March 26 until further notice. This action has been taken based on The Stay-At-Home Order from Colorado Governor Jared Polis and the advice of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).".

Most of the National Parks in Colorado have also been closed due to COVID-19, so check before you head anywhere this year. I'm sure other states are taking similar actions, and I know many National Parks elsewhere are closing as well. Stay safe and keep that six foot distance when you must go out so we can all get through this as quickly as possible!

I will try to post again as soon as the state parks reopen in Colorado

Jonathan
