I would check your owner's manual regarding towing. I have a 2004 Durango with the Hemi, and it states that if the tongue weight of the trailer is a certain amount & higher, then you need to use a sway bar & a WDH. See what your manual has to say about both devises.

I wouldn't tow our 3326 King without a sway bar. After I sold my full size Dodge Copnversion van, I found out that I needed a sway bar to give me piece of mind when towing with the last 2 Durangos that I have owned. I would rather be safe than sorry. I have heard too many horror stories about trailers that have started swaying. I know that there are some members out there who can attest to this statement.
