If My Highlander with a 107" wheelbase is stable on the road without sway control, I would think an FJ Cruiser with a 106" wheelbase just might be OK without sway control as well. No one in this forum has reported sway control as a problem with traditional TrailManors because of their low center of gravity.

Almost everyone should be using a weight distributing hitch, because it keeps you from overloading the rear axle and unloading the front axle.
