This forum is awesome! What a wealth of info and members!

Thanks!
fwiw, my suggestion only works if you are near the Sacramento/Stockton area.

Assuming that to be true, you could probably call Dinuba RV in Dinuba CA (near Fresno) and see if Stan or Chuck are still around. They would know the name of the welding shop in Rio Vista. Or they may know a shop in the Fresno area.

fwiw, I am the guy that back in 2005 or 2006 had the frame crack at a weld. While it was in this particular welding shop they made a minor change to the configuration. As built at the factory one of the pins goes behind a flat plate. This caused a bit of slop that I could feel under acceleration and braking. The welding shop drilled a new hole, just like the other pin is attached, and all slop has been removed.

I like it that way.

I think I read where The Car Show in Colorado can also do this.

You might also consider Custom RV in Anaheim, CA. They have a reputation for excellent work. I have had some work by them and have no complaints, and I had to drive 366 miles one way to drop it off.

If you live in any other state, I'm not sure I helped all that much, except to confirm that it has been done.

If you happen to be around the California Central Coast in September (I forget the exact date), stop by the TM rally and visit somewhere around 30 TMs camped out for the weekend.
