More clearance for going in and out of driveways (gas stations etc) without dragging. If (God forbid) you do have a flat, you can change the tire without having to pop-up to get the wheel off.

As mentioned, it adds to total height so may have issues getting it under your garage door. Measure carefully but most people are able to adjust the garage door higher if need be.
