I'll second Highland Hammocks - very nice state park. Also have heard that Anastasia State Park around St. Augustine is nice but have never stayed there. St. Augustine is a fun place to visit for a couple of days.
Larry - does Myakka River State Park have camping? We lived in Englewood for a few years and used to drive up there for the day (rented canoes and paddled on the river) but never paid any attention to whether or not they had a campground...
