This is good information, almost makes me want to get a new TM. Alas, I'm just a poor starving teacher.

On the note of silicone spray though. I used to spray car door seals with silicone spray, but the stuff is usually more solvent than silicone, and it goes everywhere. Then I discovered an ACDelco silicone lube paste that is applied using an included foam brush. It was a bit clumpy, but you didn't have overspray, it didn't dribble over your fingers, it didn't smell up the car, and it was way easier to control. I'd spread on with the sponge, then use a cloth to smear it evenly over the seals.

I wonder it this type of product might be worth considering?
