We, too, have had a latch fail. Didn't know it until we went to close up the next day. We were camped close to a Camping World, so off I go with the broken latch to try and find something that would work. The parts guy found a pin that was originally intended for a large awning on a motorhome that fit perfectly. Now use that one as a spare as when we got home I ordered a new one from the factory.
