I'm coming late to the party, but I would use 4-inch or 6-inch wide UHMW tape. My experience is that the OEM strips are a bit too narrow, and the bag seal can go off the edge, moving/rubbing a bit when the trailer flexes in transit - which is probably what caused the OEM rub strip to come off in the first place.

There are a number of other places where some UHMW tape can be a good add. The ceiling of the front shell is one. The outer sides of the rear shell, where the front shell's bag seal rubs is another. Keeping the bag seals clean is a good start, but not a perfect solution.
